Your input is integral to the spring 2017 legislative review consultation, and to the future legislation that will govern Professional Members and Permit Holders. You will have a number of opportunities and ways to provide input throughout the review. Upcoming opportunities include:
- Attending a face-to-face legislative review consultation session. Registration now open.
- Watch the videos or read the briefing notes and provide your thoughts and opinions through the survey.
While input from Members and Permit Holders is important to the review and influencing the future legislation, the legislation affects other stakeholders and it is important their feedback is also considered. This includes the Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET), the provincial government, other constituent associations of engineers and geoscientists, and other self-governing professional associations in Alberta.
APEGA also works collaboratively with Government of Alberta and the Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET) to share information and make informed recommendations to move the legislative review forward. In addition, the Joint Councils meet quarterly, and both APEGA and ASET have struck a Joint Legislative Review Committee to guide the development of the proposed recommendations
